Open Doors – Standing Strong Event

On Saturday 3 October, Open Doors invite you to join Open Doors – and thousands of believers from across the UK and Ireland – for an evening of inspiration, encouragement, and stories of courageous faith from persecuted Christians around the world.

Mark Hinde, Scotland Church Relations Manager, Open Doors UK & Ireland wrote in an email to the Rector:

“Because of the current pandemic, Open Doors is sadly unable to host this year’s annual Standing Strong event, where we invite members of our persecuted family to come to the UK to share stories of the reality of persecution in their countries. However, instead, we are planning to host a special UK-wide Standing Strong online event.

On Saturday 3 October at 7:45pm, we invite you and your church family to join us – and hundreds of believers from across the UK and Ireland – for an evening of inspiration, encouragement, and stories of courageous faith from persecuted Christians around the world. During the evening, we will bring you the latest news on what’s happening to our brothers and sisters in Syria, Nigeria and China through interviews with church leaders and footage direct from our partners around the world.
