INTERCESSIONS FOR EASTER 3

INTERCESSOR: JOAN SADDEN

This week’s intercessions are in the form of a litany with silences for you to put in your own prayers on the subject. The response to “In all of this…” is “May God be glorified”

Having redeemed us by His death, Jesus can offer us the forgiveness of our sins, which sets us free to live. May God be glorified now, as we commit ourselves to the work of prayer interceding for all kinds of need.

In our worship, our openness to the Spirit of life; in the Church’s caring, mission and outreach; in our clergy and in the people.

SILENCE

In all of this – May God be glorified.

In the welfare programmes at home and abroad, the peace-making and seeking at home and abroad; in the struggle to uphold justice and keep freedoms; in the aid given to the poor and homeless at home and abroad.

SILENCE

In all of this – May God be glorified.

In the daily life of families, parents, siblings, partners and children; in the determination to forgive and to love all the lives shared and cherished.

SILENCE

In all of this – May God be glorified.

In the work of doctors, nurses, paramedics, and all hospital and care home staff, and those who care at home.

SILENCE

In all of this – May God be glorified.

In all who struggle with pain, weakness, the frailties of old age, worry about their physical or mental health, and those who are depressed or lonely. Hold before God all who are on St Michael’s prayer list.

SILENCE

In all of this – May God be glorified.

In all who are facing death and are now coming to eternity, and for all who are mourning the loss of a loved one. We continue to remember in our prayers Nette Lawrence, Richard Todman and HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

SILENCE

In all of this – May God be glorified.

We will now have a period of silence to offer our own petitions.

In the freedom offered through forgiveness; in the joy of resurrection, in the hope of eternity we offer You these prayers.

Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of Your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. AMEN.
