Sunday, 2 April – Palm Sunday

8:30am: Said Eucharist (1970 rite)
10:30am Sung Eucharist (1982 Rite). The service starts with the Palms Ceremony in the Upper Hall – please collect your palm cross before coming into the hall. After the service please join us for refreshments in the Upper Hall [See ‘Stall in the Hall‘ notice below]
10:30am: Young Church

6:30pm: Choral Evensong


Sunday, 2 April 2023 – Stall in the Hall

The next Stall in the Hall will be held to raise funds for Gareloch Riding for the Disabled Association. Any support for the baking stall and small tabletop unwanted gifts will be gratefully received.

Tuesday, 4 April – Tuesday in Holy Week

10:30am Said Eucharist (1982 rite) followed by refreshments in the Upper Hall


Thursday, 6 April – Maundy Thursday

7:30pm: Sung Eucharist followed by the Watch – the final part of
the service concludes at 10.00pm. During the Eucharist there will be washing of feet – please come prepared to remove a shoe/sock.


Thursday, 6 April – Coffee Morning

10:30am: the Monthly Coffee Morning will be held at 10:30am at Carol and Nick Parry’s House. Please email info@stmichaelhelensburgh.org.uk for venue information.


Friday, 7 April – Good Friday

2:00pm: Solemn Liturgy. After the service, tea & hot cross buns will be served in the Upper hall.

Also on Good Friday: 10.30am Walk of Witness starting from the Hub (116, East Princes St). The route is as follows: The Hub; Civic Centre; St Joseph’s; HBC; Bethesda; URC; St Michael’s & HPC – this will be followed by refreshments at Helensburgh Baptist Church.


Saturday, 8 April – Holy Saturday | Easter Vigil

Easter Flowers – We will be decorating the church on the morning of Saturday 8th April. If anyone would like to help with the flowers, please let me know. If you can’t help on the day but can donate some flowers/greenery it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Andrea on email flowers@stmichaelhelensburgh.org.uk

8:00pm: The Easter Vigil service will start outside St Michael’s with the lighting of the Paschal Candle.


Sunday, 9 April – Easter Day

8:30am: Said Eucharist (1970 rite)
10:30am: Sung Eucharist (1982 Rite) followed by refreshments in the Upper Hall.
10:30am: Young Church

Please note that there will be no service on Tuesday 11 April and only one service (10.30am Sung Eucharist) on Sunday 16 April (Low Sunday).

waste’ is hardly possible, but getting close to it is doable and worthwhile!
