St Michaels Got Talent – a craft fair with a difference – 5 October 2019
Well, what a day, over 200 visitors, exhibitors and helpers, together with musicians – Barbara Wenborn, Andrew Lockhart, Mark and Janina Duncan to entertain us, and Lindsay Watkins to illuminate our splendid stained glass, St Michaels had a really good day! We had over 30 exhibitors and sellers from model ships to tapestry to paintings, not forgetting a lot of cakes and other goodies.
How good? well your social committee who organised this report that over £2000 was raised as a contribution to church funds. Look Here for more on this.
Harvest Festival 6 October 2019
Because Sunday 6th October was our Harvest Festival our beautiful church was decorated with flowers and produce.
The theme of our Harvest Festival worship was to focus on sparking interest in our Malawi Project, in partnership with the Helensburgh and District Rotary Club. This project is providing practical and targeted support to Christian fellowships in Malawi over the coming months. Our Sunday collections raised over £2000 for this project.
Our thanks go to the members of the congregation who have worked hard to achieve such two such tremendous results over the weekend.
On 4th August 2019 Rev Dom Ind celebrated the first anniversary of his institution as Rector at St Michael and All Angels.
