Helensburgh's Scottish Episcopal Church (part of the Anglican community)
St Michael and All Angels supports the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank. There is a box at the back of the Church near the font where you can leave dried goods, and tins etc. No fresh food thank you!
The Foodbank is often looking for more volunteers for Monday and Friday mornings.
We need people who are good at listening to clients and talking with them and also who are fairly fit, as the duties involve setting up the hall with tables and chairs and hefting heavy food bags. We start at 9.30 and finish by 12.30 and are based at the Red Cross Halls in East Princes Street. Volunteers choose which dates they would like to be on duty. All volunteers will need to attend a two-hour Induction course.
Anyone who is interested in finding out more, please email:
The Foodbank is urgently asking for the following items, which you can leave in the box at the back of the Church. Please, no fresh food, opened items or Out of Date food, thank you!
Helensburgh & Lomond Foodbank would like to invite you to attend our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, the 9th March 2022 at 7pm at the Helensburgh Community Hub followed by a social time with tea/coffee and buffet.
Please see the attached agenda for the meeting. If you are able to attend please reply to helensburghfoodbank@gmail.com and please let me know if you have any particular dietary requirements.
We would be grateful if you could do a lateral flow test prior to attending. There is good ventilation and hand sanitizer available at the Hub.
With Best Wishes Emmy Devenney for the Management Committee
